Legal notice
Agnes & Vera sells jewellery made of sterling silver. Under the Hallmarking Act 1973, any business dealing in precious metals must display a notice, produced by the British Hallmarking Council, explaining the approved UK hallmarks.
You can view the official Dealer's Notice here:

The notice describes the marks applied by the UK Assay Offices, which certify the precious metal content of an item. A hallmark is your guarantee that an item described as gold, silver, platinum or palladium is what it claims to be.
Items below a certain weight are exempt from compulsory hallmarking: 7.78 grams for silver, 1 gram for gold, 1 gram for palladium and 0.5 grams for platinum. Some of the jewellery we sell falls below these weights.
For more information visit the British Hallmarking Council. If you have a concern regarding hallmarking, contact your local Trading Standards authority.
