An A5 hardback journal wrapped in paper marbled by hand at Compton Marbling's studio in Wiltshire.

Colours are floated on a tank of carragheen moss solution and lifted off one sheet at a time, so the pattern can never be repeated. The book you are looking at is the book that arrives.

Inky blue, teal and ochre in a combed diagonal ripple

This one runs through deep blue, green-black and warm ochre, drawn into a diagonal ripple across the boards. The spine is a navy cloth, which sets the pattern off without competing with it.

Lined off-white pages, ready for daily use

Off-white paper rather than bright white, lined throughout, in an A5 page size of roughly 148 x 210mm. Large enough for proper writing, small enough to live in a bag.

Hardback, so it survives being carried
