Three pink stones, each smaller than the last
A cabochon rose quartz graduating down to a rhodolite, finished with a small fuchsia topaz. Three tones of pink in one line rather than a single flat colour, which is what stops them reading as an ordinary pink stud.
Rose gold, which is the right call here
Sterling silver at 925 parts per thousand, rose gold plated. Warm pink metal against pink stone, where a white metal would have left the whole thing looking cooler and paler.
Small enough for every day
Post and butterfly backs. 19.2mm top to bottom and 13.9mm across, so they sit on the lobe rather than hanging off it. Stones run from 9 x 13.9mm down to 3 x 4mm, 30.88 carats in total. The rose quartz is natural and unheated.
Keeping them right
Warm water, a drop of washing up liquid and a soft brush. Take them off before swimming, and keep them away from bleach and household cleaners.
